On August 07, 2023, during that same evening, overwhelmed by a profound sense of distress that manifested itself as a desperate need to regain control over my identity, I renamed myself “Plume” to my partner.
5 days later, I would finally accept myself as the woman I had always been, but it all started with this name.
I love this name, it's not just a name for me. There's so much of my DNA encoded in this name, so many reasons why it's this name and not another.
It wasn't a choice, it wasn't even a thought, it was purely obvious. It was always going to be Plume and it could never have been anything else.
