It's finally here.

At the end of last year, when I launched my blog, which was called The Perch, I didn't intend or expected for this to become such an important part of my life. Blogging is something that I found a deep love for. It helped me through some really tough time this year and it finally gave me an outlet for me to write on.

It became something that was so important to me that I ended up making multiple blogs. So I had a blog, a micro-blog, which later turned into what is this website's journal. And a meta-blog, which I actually never ended up doing much with.

Using Bear Blog as a host, I have seven different sites and blogs. It was becoming a lot for me to manage, but also, it was becoming messy to follow me. I wanted a place that was fully me, but it was becoming more and more fragmented. I wanted to fix that.

I have had that idea for a while of having one website with everything on it, but I couldn't do it in a way that wasn't messy, in part due to a lack of knowledge in CSS theming. I kept imagining a short address and a slash blog instead of a blog dot address. Which usually is super easy to do, but because I have multiple blogs that I don't want them to end up on the same list, it was challenging.

Well, it took some time, but I figured it out, and here we are.

Welcome to plume.pink, the internet perch I've always dreamed of having.

It's a new site, with a new domain name, a new look, and even some new types of posts. Like, for example, it now has an actual microblog!

This is what I've been daydreaming about when I since I realized how much I loved blogging, this year. My tiny little corner of the internet. A place that is fully me and that you can get lost in. A part of my universe. A piece of my brain, opened for you to see.

In some ways, you could call that a 2.0, a revamp, but for me, it's very much a 1.0. Out of early access with a bright future ahead.
